about

I am excited to announce the release of my latest single. The upbeat song is called Fool's Gold and takes a happy look at moving away from a bad place. Initial response from reviewers and the music industry has been fantastic with phrases such as "awesome track" and "definitely has a happy, upbeat feel to it that put me in a great mood".

This is my fifth solo single release and is a perfect blend of happy pop and country rock and pop, with catchy hooks and a driving beat that will have you tapping your feet in no time. Brian’s unique voice and guitar playing are on full display in this track, which is sure to be a hit with fans of all ages.

So as the Aussie winter creeps towards summer, it's time to get on the road again and find something new.

Just watch out for the Fool's Gold!

"...a happy, feel-good tune that goes a long way unscrewing a screwed up world." Ron Wallace, Music Discovery Network (USA)

lyrics

(da da da-da, da da da-da, da da da-da da)
(da da da-da, da da da-da, da da da-da da)

When dreams turn into nightmares and you wake up all alone
Your house is full of strangers and you haven't got a home
Plans all come to nothing and there's nowhere left to turn
But the road that leads right out of here...
just watch those bridges burn

Get on the road again, thoughts are running free
Destination in plain sight, the journey is the key
Singing in the sunshine, dancing in the rain
Moving to the music, you won't be here again
Get on the road again (da da da-da, da da da-da, da da da-da da)
Get on the road again (da da da-da, da da da-da, da da da-da da)

And the verities that you were taught stood at your daddy's side
While said with all sincerity, weren't meant to stem the tide
Treat them all as guidelines, the things that you were told
Keep the nuggets you have found, abandon the fools' gold...

Get on the road again, thoughts are running free
Destination in plain sight, the journey is the key
Singing in the sunshine, dancing in the rain
Moving to the music, you won't be here again

I see that train a'coming, it's rolling 'round the bend
Stuck upon that iron road, until it reach the end
But you and me we ain't like that, we can choose the way
So grab your backpack and your boots, head on out today

Get on the road again (da da da-da, da da da-da, da da da-da da)
Get on the road again (da da da-da, da da da-da, da da da-da da)

So put it all behind you now and go and chase the sun
And every new step that you take s'a journey just begun
You can do what you can do although it may be hard
You'll never find what's out there if you're stuck in your back yard...

Better get up, better get out, better get on (da da da-da da)
Gotta move up, gotta move out, follow the sun (da da da-da da)

Get on the road again (da da da-da, da da da-da, da da da-da da)
Get on the road again (da da da-da, da da da-da, da da da-da da)

Get on the road...
